2025 – Generative art, code + AI fusion. In this homage to René Magritte, the artist is portrayed mid-gesture, holding two poker chips with a quiet gravity. The composition nods directly to "Ceci n’est pas une pipe", not only through its title, but through its conceptual tension between illusion and truth, representation and reality. Yet this piece lives in a different dimension — not oil on canvas, but intelligence and instruction. It is the result of a hybrid creative process: first, an image generated by AI; then, a custom algorithm analyzes and abstracts its visual strokes — their directions, lengths, weights, and hues. These are not just pixels — they are gestures, encoded like thoughts. Finally, another program brings those strokes to life, rendering them dynamically with physics and shader code to mimic the appearance of fresh oil paint. The textures feel alive — layered, chaotic, expressive. “This is not a game” is inscribed on Bitcoin using the Ordinals protocol — but not as a static file. Instead, it stores only the compressed essence of the painting: its DNA, its logic, its intention. The artwork is reinterpreted live by the viewer’s browser, unfolding each stroke in real time, like a memory being painted again. A meditation on perception, authorship, and the evolving role of the artist, this work fuses Magritte’s philosophical questions with today’s generative possibilities.
